Instructions for adding a
new MAC (wireless device) to a Linksys wireless G router. (These instructions may work for other makes or models of routers.) PAGE Put a check mark in the boxes on the right hand side. If there are more wireless devices listed than you have in the house, unplug the power from the router, count to 10, plug it back in and start this process over. Then click on the Update Filter List button. You’ll now see something like this:
Scroll to the bottom of the window and save your settings. When it says Continue, click on the box. You’ll come right back to the same window, click on the X in the top right corner of this window to close it. Then double-check that you still have the system set to permit only. If not, fix it. Then click on Save Settings. Close the window. That’s it, you’re done! Your system will still say that it’s not a secure network. But it actually is, we just didn’t do it the Microsoft way….
